Horsham District Council have now published their draft Regulation 19 Local Plan which is heading towards Cabinet for consideration by District Councillors on 15 July 2021.
The document can be found at https://horsham.moderngov.co.uk/documents/s17755/1%20Appendix%201%20Reg%2019%20HDLP%20Cabinet.pdf.
It includes a number of new strategic allocations across the District including 3250 homes on Land West of Ifield, 350 homes on Land East of Billingshurst, 2100 on Land at Buck Barn and 1200 homes on Land West of Southwater.
This news comes shortly after our Neighbourhood Plan, which we have worked on for a considerable time, has been voted on and come into use. The allocation now proposed by Horsham District Council would mean an additional 750 homes coming forward to the west of Southwater.
The Parish Council and Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group are currently considering how best to respond to this news and would like this response to be informed by our community.
We will be arranging a public meeting as soon as one can be arranged (details to follow), however in the meantime we would appreciate it if you would respond with your initial thoughts by using the form linked below:
