Since 2013 the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group have been working to prepare a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish under the powers given to it by Localism Act 2011. Following numerous consultation activities with residents, community groups, and other stakeholders and a lot of hard work by the Steering Group a Draft Southwater Neighbourhood Plan has been completed.

The Steering Group submitted the draft Southwater Neighbourhood Plan to the Full Parish Council meeting on 26th September 2018,  seeking authorisation from the Parish Council to take the draft plan to Regulation 14 Consultation. The Regulation 14 Consultation is so called as it is required by Regulation 14 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

We are pleased to report that Full Council unanimously agreed that the plan can continue to Regulation 14 Consutlation. 

We hope to commence this consutlation shortly.
